MR SUPRATIK CHATTOPADHYAY

Supratik Chattopadhyay is a senior consultant gynaecological surgeon who has been based in Leicester since 2015. He works at the Spire Leicester Hospital and the Nuffield Health Leicester Hospital. He worked in the NHS at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust From January 2015 to September 2025.

Mr Chattopadhyay went to medical school in Kolkata, India and did his obstetrics and gynaecology training in Kolkata and Newcastle upon Tyne. He did his gynaecological oncology surgical training in Gateshead and Leeds.

In addition to his gynaecological practice, Mr Chattopadhyay has a keen interest in gynaecological cancer research and surgical training in gynaecology.

BENIGN GYNAECOLOGY:

Consultation for common gynaecological conditions, hysteroscopy including endometrial ablation, laparoscopic (key-hole) surgery and open surgery for benign gynaecological problems.

GYNAECOLOGICAL CANCER SURGERY:

Operations for cancer of the vulva, vagina, cervix (neck of the womb), uterus (womb), ovaries and fallopian tube.

GYNAECOLOGICAL PRECANCER AND CANCER DIAGNOSTICS:

Colposcopy and diagnostic hysteroscopy.
